This is a training group. We’ll work together to become better at swordfighting.

To participate, you should be generally healthy, and able to walk and move ok. You must be ready to put in effort and to support the group. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

If you have medical conditions that might be a cause for concern, speak to your physician first.

Newcomers are always welcome! Our practices are beginner-friendly. To join, you just have to show up, sign our insurance waiver, and commit to attending four practices over your first six weeks. After your trial period, you can sign up to pay our sliding-scale dues of $20-60/month.

Code of conduct

The club has a Code of Conduct. These procedures assure everyone’s safety and healthy practice.

Equipment requirements

We have loaner gear for newcomers.

Safety gear is needed for some of the drills. A fencing mask is the most important piece of safety gear. For newcomers who do not have safety gear yet, there are plenty of drills that do not require safety gear.

Over a period of engagement with the club, a typical participant will acquire their own swords and safety gear.

Don’t bring sharps or other live weapons to practice.
